Terri Bechard Memorial Fund

Terri-Lynn Bechard was a beloved member of the Wallaceburg community, remembered for her selflessness, dedication, and unwavering support of youth sports. Born and raised in Wallaceburg, she built a life rooted in love for her family and hometown. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren, who often accompanied her to basketball games—sometimes even sitting on the bench alongside players and coaches—sharing in her passion for the team.

Following the passing of her husband Steve, Terri faced profound grief and struggled to find a renewed sense of purpose. With the encouragement of her family, she joined the Wallaceburg Airhawks basketball organization in a managerial role. This opportunity gave Terri a new focus and allowed her to channel her energy into something she quickly grew to love: supporting young athletes in her community.

Terri became an indispensable part of the Airhawks family. She oversaw registration and paperwork, managed hotel bookings for tournaments, organized fundraisers, and tracked statistics for multiple teams. Her tireless efforts extended to both the competitive travel teams and the Little Dribblers program, driven by her firm belief that every child deserves the opportunity to play—regardless of their circumstances.

The Terri-Lynn Bechard Memorial Fund was created to honor her remarkable legacy of service, compassion, and commitment to youth sports.
