OBA Travel Teams

The Airhawks Travel Team is committed to providing competitive basketball opportunities for dedicated athletes seeking to elevate their skills and game knowledge. Through high-level training, disciplined team play, and participation in regional and provincial competitions, we aim to develop resilient, respectful, and hardworking players. Our focus is on fostering athletic excellence, personal growth, and pride in representing the Wallaceburg community.

Airhawk Competitive Programs

The Airhawk competitive teams are together for 7-9 months between September to June depending on the age division.

Teams will practice 2x per week
Roughly 20 games (usually weekend games/tournaments). Some home games and games that will require out of town travel.
There will be 4 Tournaments plus Provincials
Competitive teams focus on individual and team skill development.

Tryouts

Our program holds open tryouts in August and September.

Players must tryout to make the team roster. Anyone is welcome to tryout. Tryouts for each age group are run by the coaches of that team along with guest coaches within the club.

Important tryout details for parents and players:

The players’ skills, effort, behavior, and attitude are important factors that coaches consider in making their selections for the team.
Each team will host 2 tryouts

Commitment Level

Airhawk competitive teams can be a substantial time commitment from players and families. We understand that sometimes other life events or activities will take top priority. We request that conflicts be communicated to the coaches well in advance.

We encourage our athletes to participate in other activities, parents and athletes must understand the commitment they are making if they were to be selected to our competitive travel teams.
